Pragati Maidan Redevelopment Project

The ongoing Pragati Maidan Redevelopment Project has attracted a lot of attention, and why not? 

It’s the first time something BIG like this is shaping up in India.

The redeveloped place would host G20 Summit in September this year.

The project received sanction in January 2017 at a total cost of Rs 2,254 crore.

To renovate the project, all signature structures of the previous Pragati Maidan--such as the Pyramidal Nehru Pavilion, and Amusement Park (Appu Ghar)—were demolished.

Fully air-conditioned exhibition space and Integrated-transit Corridor (ITC) define the project.

The International Exhibition-Convention Centre (IECC) in the redeveloped Pragati Maidan will have a combined capacity of 13,500 people.
