BigBloc Construction Ltd., one of India's leading manufacturers of Aerated Autoclaved Concrete (AAC) blocks, bricks and ALC panels, reported consolidated revenue from operations of ₹283.42 crore for FY26, registering a growth of 26.2% over the previous fiscal year's revenue of ₹224.64 crore. EBITDA for the year stood at ₹22.93 crore, translating into an EBITDA margin of 8.09%.

For the fourth quarter ended March 2026, the company reported revenue from operations of ₹86.93 crore, reflecting a year-on-year growth of 34.6% compared to ₹64.59 crore recorded during the corresponding period last year. EBITDA for the quarter stood at ₹7.06 crore despite ongoing pressures across the building materials sector. According to the company, profitability during the quarter was influenced by broader market challenges, including geopolitical uncertainties and the impact of expansion-related investments.
Operationally, the company maintained a consolidated capacity utilisation of 78% during the quarter. Its subsidiary Bigbloc Building Elements Pvt. Ltd. achieved capacity utilisation of 89%, while Siam Cement Bigbloc Construction Technologies Pvt. Ltd. reported utilisation of 40%.
A key development during the year was BigBloc's entry into the construction chemicals segment. The company commenced commercial production at its Umargaon facility, manufacturing products such as block jointing mortar, ready-mix plaster and tile adhesives. The move marks a strategic diversification beyond AAC products and positions the company within some of the fastest-growing categories in the building materials industry.
The company also advanced its expansion plans in central India. Its subsidiary, StarBigBloc Building Material Ltd., secured all major approvals required for its upcoming greenfield AAC block manufacturing facility in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. The proposed project is expected to become one of the largest AAC block manufacturing facilities in the country and forms an important part of the company's long-term growth strategy.
On the corporate restructuring front, the Regional Director approved the amalgamation of StarBigBloc Building Material Ltd with Bigbloc Building Elements Pvt. Ltd. in April 2026. The merger is aimed at streamlining operations, improving efficiencies and strengthening the overall organisational structure. Since both entities were already part of the consolidated group, the amalgamation does not materially impact the group's consolidated financial position.
Sustainability continues to remain a major focus area for the company. BigBloc and its subsidiaries have installed a combined rooftop solar capacity of 3,340 KW for captive consumption, helping reduce dependence on conventional energy sources. The company has also launched its ESG profile on a global sustainability platform, enabling stakeholders to monitor its environmental, social and governance performance against internationally recognised benchmarks.
The developments come at a time when India's construction industry is increasingly embracing sustainable and resource-efficient building materials. AAC blocks and panels are gaining wider acceptance due to their lightweight nature, thermal efficiency and lower environmental footprint compared to conventional construction materials. As urbanisation accelerates and green building practices gain momentum, manufacturers with strong production capabilities and diversified product portfolios are expected to benefit from the evolving market landscape.
