Nestled in the iconic Qila Mubarak complex, Ran Baas, The Palace was a fort which was turned into Punjab's first luxurious palace hotel after being abandoned for 80 years. Once home to the royal prince's wives, this place boasts of 35 rooms, suites and villas. It has been reimagined by renowned architect Abha Narain Lambah and The park hotel's Priya Paul. Although the palace is the epitome of Mughal and Punjabi architecture, a few modern elements were added like spa, the dining hall etc.

What truly sets this beautiful property apart is that it was restored, and not redesigned. When it comes to redoing the heritage properties, most of the royal residences-turned-hotels are overshadowed layers of modern luxury. However, Ran Baas preserves its authentic character and the original aesthetics allowing the history to peep through old-style ceilings, arches and courtyards.
