ITC Introduces Welcomhotel & Convention Centre in Bodh Gaya, Bihar

The famous ITC Hotels have added another feather to its cap by recently opening the Welcomhotel in Bihar's Bodh Gaya district on October 22. Located just 12 km from Gaya Airport, and 77 km from Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport, the property is equipped with all the premium amenities to give the guests a 5-star experience. The hotel boasts of a spa, wellness centre, gym, swimming pool, lush green outdoors and more. The entire idea of building this property in Gaya was to boost spiritual tourism as Bodh Gaya proudly houses the UNESCO-listed World Heritage Site, Mahabodhi Temple.

Apart from that, Welcomhotel Bodh Gaya Hotel & Convention Centre is designed for grandeur and can seamlessly pull-off opulent destination weddings, high-profile business events and more, thanks to its easily-accessible location.

Inside the Welcomhotel Bodh Gaya

Spread across 18 acres, this property is designed with almost 100 rooms and luxury suites including a series of premium rooms, executive suites with living rooms and two presidential suits with the view of Mahabodhi Temple. Each room is a haven of convenience featuring air-conditioning, private bathrooms, work desks, bath amenities, TV, wardrobes and a breath-taking view. Catering to the guests to make their stay memorable, the hotel also includes an airport shuttle service and a 24-hour front desk.

Paying homage to the rich culture of the region, the halls and places inside the hotel are named after famous buildings of Bihar. While, The Utpala Hall can easily accommodate small and big scale gatherings, the Nalanda Hall can effortlessly handle a large number of people. The place also has an auditorium named the Stupa Auditorium with a capacity of 2,000 people which is among the largest in the state. Hence, the name 'Convention Centre' is added to Welcomhotel Bodh Gaya Hotel.

Once the stay is sorted, the guests can savour flavours at a multi-cuisine pool-side cafe named, WelcomCafe Bodhi. The place also takes pride in its WelcomSthalika restaurant which offers the regional Bihari thali. Adding to the list, there is a K by Kaya Kalp spa and a fully operational fitness centre.

Overall, Welcomhotel Bodh Gaya is set to be a game-changer for Bihar, raising the bar for the state’s hospitality, boosting tourism infrastructure, enhancing pilgrimage experiences. This is expected to draw visitors not just from India, but from around the globe, especially Asian countries, all credits to Gaya's strong ties with Buddhism.
