At the recently concluded ACETECH Expo, Building Material Reporter caught up exclusively with Mr. Ravi Kumar, President and Business Head, APL Apollo Doors and Windows. He spoke to us discussing the brand’s latest foray into the uPVC doors and windows segment.
In this conversation, he shared the vision behind APL Apollo’s new launches, the company’s focus on quality and service, and how the brand plans to bring organisation and trust to a largely unorganised market.
What is APL Apollo?
APL Apollo is currently a renowned name in pipes and tubes. And we have recently launched UPVC range of doors and windows to cater the market of all India. While delivering a collection of high-performance uPVC windows and doors, we have ensured that they are designed to protect homes from the tough weather conditions while enhancing the beauty of the space. Our pan-India network includes over 1,000 channel partners and 40,000+ customer touchpoints, ensuring seamless accessibility and service.
What was the thinking behind entering this new business segment?
As an extension to our previous work, we have just started this business with an intention to provide excellent product with an excellent service. APL Apollo is all about customer satisfaction. So, we have started this business giving priority to the customers and creating the service network first and then the best in class product. So, please I request everyone to please do come and feel the product and get the best out of it.
Doors and windows is a very vast industry. How are you planning to excel in this field?
See, today what is happening is in India the window industry has become a cottage industry. There are lot of inferior products that have flocked India. So, principally we are here to cater and create an organised and disciplined player so that you get the best product. Otherwise there are a lot of Chinese products and local fabricators which are low quality.
What is the focus point for APL Apollo in near future?
We are aiming to become the top one or two brand in the window and door industry within the next five years. Meanwhile, as we go along we also wish to add more products which are related to the interior design and the ones which can elevate a home space.
