This single-family dwelling unit clearly evinces that Chandigarh is witnessing a transition in the housing typologies and their architecture in the face of rising population and rapid urbanisation. The house has something unique in its structure – right from location to design, and to the material used. The built space was limited, while the owner wanted a feeling of openness and grandeur inside the residence. This two-storied three-bedroom house is designed to comfortably accommodate a family of four with careful consideration given to incorporate natural light, ventilation, and views.
